Steelcase announces third year with Greenworks

Steelcase, the global leader in the office furniture industry and the not-for-profit social enterprise Green-Works, which provides redundant office furniture for re-use by schools, charities and community organisations are celebrating their third year working in partnership.

 

Steelcase was the first furniture manufacture to become members and during the three years Steelcase has diverted 29.6 tonnes of furniture through Green-Works, 18.8 tonnes of that has been recycled and 10.8 tonnes has been reused, helping a variety of charities, small businesses, social enterprises and members of the public.

Our partnership with Green-Works compliments our dedication to sustainability and environmental commitment.  Green-Works provide a fantastic service which allows organisations to deal with their old furniture in a socially and environmentally responsible way.   It is remarkable what we have achieved together in last three years in terms of recycling and reusing old office furniture and we hope to continue into the future to be just as successful.

Steelcase is proud to maintain its support of Green-Works’ policy of zero landfill throughout the UK and continues to wholly endorses the charity’s take-back initiatives which sees old furniture removed from offices and re-distributed.
