In 2007, Steelcase announced an aggressive environmental strategy to reduce our environmental footprint by 25% by 2012
To achieve this, we're working hard to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, energy use and waste.
Our reduction initiatives
This objective has shaped a number of reduction initiatives. They cover our ranges of desks, storage and seats. At each phase, the LCA measures the quantity of energy & resources needed, as well as the impacts on air, water and soil., but also packaging, transport and factories. For example, we measure and monitor our greenhouse gas emissions at plant, product and company levels.
